Aldi beauty and skincare

Hi

im late to Aldi .
I’ve seen loads on the internet about the beauty bargains and dupes .
over the last year I’ve got a few things, but seems the website has less and less and no new special buys .

I don’t live near an Aldi, so don’t often get into a store.

Has the beauty and skincare offer reduced ? Or am I missing lots in store ?

thanks

It’s a pain as the nearest one to me is one of the express ones without a middle aisle . So can’t just pop into one to see what they have and I’m guessing I’d need to keep popping in to catch the best offers .

The regular Aldi moisturiser- not from middle aisle - is fab! I think it's called Lacura Q10 and is about £1.99 - I used to use £20+ Clarins, but the Aldi one beats it hands down!!

QueenOfHiraeth · 21/05/2023 23:34

I live near an Aldi so have tried a fair few and, I have to be honest, have not been impressed with any. I think they are over-hyped

MissyB1 · 21/05/2023 23:36

I use their caviar day cream and night cream - both are fantastic.

I was just going to say the same.

I've swapped to aldi from using either Estée Lauder or Elemis and I think it's just as good.

I've just started using their eye serum too which seems good

These aren’t on the website though ? Or rarely . And the small Aldi I can get to never has face creams or serums .

that used to be online but hardly anything online at the moment . Some beauty but it’s only in store it says .

the little aldi I can get to doesn’t have moisturisers or very very rarely .

Yes the caviar creams are in store. Can you drive to a bigger Aldi anywhere in a reasonable distance?

Live in London so don’t have a car . Nearest is about 45 mins away at least . And trouble is I can’t just pop in there on off chance . I’ve gone in before and nothing . I think I’d need to be shipping there once a week and check if anything , but it’s the opposite direction from work so don’t do that and shop locally and in the mini Aldi .

I think I’ll pop in occasionally if have time or other things to do in that area and just keep checking website . I did get some good things on the website around 6 months back but lately hardly anything .

I really rate the Lacura Q10 serum - recently been brought back in different packaging. The rose oil and rose glycolic toner were also great but they aren't the everyday range.

Thing is there isn’t anything much now on website . But be seen lots mentioned I’d love and a while back lots used to be on website . But lately not much and I’m not near a Aldi that does special buys it even moisturers

Suppose I’m asking has it got worse re what’s available online and if I can’t get to Aldi to check often then that’s it really .

So do I! I’ve got sensitive skin, and this is very soothing. I buy 4 lots at a time though.
I’ve just bought the shampoo / conditioner dupes for Olaplex too - its really good!

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 22/05/2023 13:38

The Q10 and Caviar range aren't special buys, they are generally in stock all the time at normal sized Aldi stores.

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 22/05/2023 13:40

Also I if you either follow Aldi on Facebook or sign up for emails they notify you of what special buys are coming up.

I used to have to travel out of my way to an Aldi and would go when the special buys were of interest.

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 13:46

Lidl has a Q10 day cream, if there's a Lidl near you. I've not tried it but I like their Q10 serum

Agree. I don't like the smell of a lot of them, either.

There are lots of other equally good/better low cost brands in Boots/Superdrug IMO.

KirstenBlest · 22/05/2023 14:01

The Boots and Superdrug own brands are great.
The Aldi and Lidl ones vary in terms of smell, some smell a bit cheap.

KeepingKeepingOn · 22/05/2023 14:06

@Gizzymac don’t suppose you have a pic of new packaging do you? I really rated the serum and had a stash, but can’t find it now that I’m nearing the end of it!

carriedaway · 22/05/2023 14:34

the hot cloth clay polish is amazing

MoiraRoseForever · 22/05/2023 14:42

I don’t have a car as live in I’m at London and not worth it . It’s at least 45 minutes by public transport to nearest big one . From what I’ve seen it’s a matter of popping in regularly and then you find stuff . But I’d have to make a special trip as it’s the opposite direction to where I work and tend to travel to . There is a mini express type one nearer that I pop into but they very very rarely have moisturiser . It’s more standard toiletries . And no middle aisle special buys .

I’ll have to keep checking the website and emails . I did get some caviar products when they did the sets before Xmas . Must bulk buy when see that !

looking at upcoming no beauty or skincare . Suppose also it’s holiday season so garden stuff and related .

Another vote for the Caviar creams. Also loved their watermelon gel moisturiser but not sure if they still do it....
