Aldi Lacura Rose Oil

I love this product, and judging by the online reviews so did lots of other people! It makes my elderly, fading skin glow, and keeps it moist, and unlike many skincare items, it’s affordable.

Aldi don’t sell it any more! Why produce something so good, then just stop. I wondered if anyone else here has used it and will miss it, or can suggest an alternative?

I think they just cycle things rather than discontinuing. I love their tanning drops- every time I think they’ve discontinued, a year later (usually the same month!) they resurface. I did get chatting to a staff member once and she said they don’t have space to keep everything in, all at once, so it’s kind of ‘rotated’.

the tanning drops usually appear June so I’m expecting some soon!

the rose oil - can you remember when you got it, roughly? I’d bet it’ll reappear around the same time!

Agree, I prefer this one to the Aldi one which was way too shiny for me

Thanks for the replies. I’ll probably buy some at the inflated prices on Vinted or Amazon. No response from Aldi so far.

They definitely cycle things. I love this oil and was gutted last year when I couldn't get any more, then it popped up again online so I stocked up.

Bet you they'll do the same thing again. It'll come back and then we can all hoard it until the next time.

This looks great, thanks, have just ordered a few bottles. My last bottle of the Lacura one just ran out and I was annoyed to see it's been discontinued!!

I don’t think Aldi have discounted it, they just don’t stock it all the time and bring it in and out as a special buy in line with their business model. If a product is in the middle aisle then it won’t be around for long, if it is with the rest of the cosmetics/whatever then it’s a long term product.

It is a pain, but you have to stockpile when it is in.

I've only ever bought it online, and it used to always be in stock for years. I did buy a few bottles maybe a year or so ago, and have just run out. Sadly we don't live near an Aldi to regularly check the middle aisle and online it says 'product is no longer available' 😭

I think they have stopped all special buys online and made them in store only which is a real pain.

Lacura rose oil is back in!! Just as predicted upthread, they cycle these things and it was in the middle aisle of my local store this morning so I got 4 to last till the next time they have it again!

@Mykittensmittens I went to our local Aldi this morning after seeing it advertised. No luck, they haven’t had any delivered! Boo!

Has anyone tried the Sisley Black Rose Oil… is it any better than the dupes listed!

@Mykittensmittens I’ve got some! Went back to Aldi this morning, it was already nearly all gone. Also bought some Rose cleansing balm to try.

I saw Boots do a £2.50 rose oil. Anyone tried that? Only thing is it’s in plastic

@HopePope yes I tried it. It's a good alternative but it's not quite as good as the Aldi one. The Aldi one is a dupe for the Pixi one and I'm seriously tempted to give in a buy some as I can't find any in my local
aldi.

My local store has all of the smaller Lacura beauty products next to one of the tills. It’s never in the middle aisle due to shoplifting. Worth having a browse. I found a pile of the cleansing balm by accident last time!!

The rose cleansing balm is fabulous, as is the cleansing balm with moringa, Emma Hardie dupe.

I’ve never had a bad product from Aldi.

Just resurrecting the thread (after 2 years!) to say finally my local Aldi has the rose oil back in! £3.99 so just stocked up on a few. Definitely worth checking your local Aldi if you’re a fan.

I got some two weeks ago! No Rose Cleansing balm this time though. I keep looking out for it, an amazing hack of a much more expensive brand.

Don't suppose anyone knows if Aldi still has them in stock? My nearest one is a bit of a schlep but it's such a great product...
