Your favourite everyday bag under £100?

My current handbag is horrible (old one broke so was a desperate Amazon prime and it's horrible). I have about £100 to spend on a new one but need some inspiration. Does anyone like this bag?

I like it. I would day for under a £100 or thereabouts Longchamp le pliage bags are my favourite.

N0tfinished · 19/05/2023 22:12

I dunno whether that would be my everyday bag. If it's your main bag I think it needs to be more neutral

weirddolls · 19/05/2023 22:18

It's a nice bag but wouldn't work with my style. I recently bought this Longchamp bag https://www.longchamp.com/gb/en/products/handbag-s-L1621919504.html and I love it! I bought the small size as it's just to take to the shops with me but it's surprisingly roomy and great quality. The bigger ones are £100 and I think you can choose your own colours. I like mine so much that I'm thinking of buying another in a different colour.

amberisola · 19/05/2023 23:16

I like that, but not as an everyday bag because I wouldn’t know what colours to wear with it!

I have a lot of different coloured coats/clothes in general, so for everyday use I stick to bags that are black, brown or one colour to make things easy. I have a few favourite shopper/tote style bags that I’m always switching between, from kate spade or coach (second hand), or mango, other stories or similar.

Mango has some nice spacious bags in at the moment. I like this one shop.mango.com/gb/women/bags-leather/leather-shopper-bag_47064024.html?c=09
And this pink one:

I love this!

That is one awful bag! I cannot imagine it looking nice in any scenario (sorry but you did ask). For £100 I would be looking in a Radley outlet store

AllLopsided · 19/05/2023 23:47

I don't mind it because I actually like purple!

I am eagerly waiting my lilac city crossbody from PomPom London after it was recommended on here. I think it's £99 in U.K. money without any extras so fits your criteria perfectly. I'm hoping I'll look chic and organised! If I like it I'm hoping they'll offer plum in winter!

Abcdefgh1234 · 20/05/2023 01:28

its awful bag in my opinion. For £100 i would look for sale in radley or ted baker. Or find something nice in tkmaxx.

also you can buy second hand kate spade in vinted. I just bought kate spade tote in perfect condition in vinted for £30

LadyOfTheCanyon · 20/05/2023 05:28

I wouldn't call that any everyday bag due to the handle.

I have this one, which can hold all the toot I carry around in the daily.

I like this from COS. Slightly over budget at £135 but you get 10% discount if you join their mailing list

I love it, very 80s disco-y! It's great if that suits your style. Personally I'd love it as a going out bag, but for everyday I need something bigger (got a lot of crap to carry!)

Blip · 20/05/2023 10:22

I have this Uniqlo bag £14.99
It is v popular and comes in other colours

HisHobbyIsSex · 20/05/2023 10:25

I love Kipling bags. www.kipling.com/uk-en/

quantumbutterfly · 20/05/2023 11:42

I'm after a big old leather bag that uses eyelets for the handles though that one is a little funky for me OP, if any of you lovely style bods can help with that.....needs to be roomy for all the malarkey I throw in it.

Handles that attach with stitching generally aren't up to the job for me. (books and shite)

Love the gold, leather bag from pp but ..stitched handles.

speakout · 20/05/2023 14:20

It is an ugly bag in my eyes OP.

But what I think doesn't count- we all have different tastes. If you love it then buy it.

Alazne58 · 20/05/2023 14:36

Bought when DD was little, red calfsleather bag from german mailorder shop 75.00 euro, think is 17 years old still looks new.

Atishoos · 20/05/2023 22:14

Just on the Longchamps le Pliage bag, yes it is lovely but there is no way I could use that with just handles, I'd need a shoulder strap for everyday use.

I've no suggestions because the ones I use would be laughed at, but they work fine for me. Mostly backpacks of the non label variety and tote bags with a zip and shoulder strap. From New Look and Amazon and a few from Primark too for good measure!

As you can see bags to me are just functional. But shoes are a different matter.....

Hooploop · 20/05/2023 23:24

Why is everyone obsessed with Longchamp bags? They're flimsy, particularly the handles, and not very practical imo. No pockets.

Viviennemary · 21/05/2023 00:34

I think the bag you have shown is awful. But if you like it thats what is important.

I thought it was just me. Really not a fan at all ☺️

They look like Roy Croppers shopping bag!

I'm always on the lookout for the perfect bag...
