Hair colour suggestions. Lots of grey

Here's a close up of my roots. Lots of grey now. Am tired of highlighting as they turn yellow on my previously brown hair. How would I transition to grey or am I just going to look OLD! (And therefore need to learn to suck up the grey roots!)

Google 'herringbone highlights'. It's a way of blending greys and Gwyneth Paltrow and Sarah Jessica Parker do this. It can also work for brunettes, I believe.

I went pixie - chopped it all off, had a few grey highlights to ease the transition, grey it out.

Did it 6 years ago. Have not regretted it once. I cannot tell you the freedom from being of the dye treadmill.

@MarieBiancaPMU I went for the herringbone highlights, I'd never had known about that approach so thank you very much. It does feel strange coming out of the hairdressers still with grey but it's mingling in well.
