Sloggi are quite expensive, are they worth the cost?

They are brilliant, really comfortable and flattering but the sizing is mental- you need to go up at least two from whatever you normally are.

Iyiyiiii · 17/05/2023 18:19

2 sizes?? really? i'm currently 16-18, last thing I want is to wear pants size 20-22!!!

I'm a 16-18 and wear appropriate sized sloggis- haven't needed to go up a size- love em- comfortable, last well - I bought lots when we lived in Denmark

toomuchlikemyusername · 17/05/2023 18:28

I love my sloggis and this thread has reminded me that I need to buy some more! I order my 'usual' size and find they fit without any issues.
I'd definitely recommend them!

Roselilly36 · 17/05/2023 18:37

I wasn’t impressed tbh.

lindyloo57 · 17/05/2023 18:40

Are they the full size pants, when I worked at a lingerie shop, we used to sell a 4 pk for £12.99 I left there in 2010 redundancy, we sold so many, they were best sellers. We often had them with 20% off,

MaryJanesonabreak · 17/05/2023 19:50

Super comfortable, excellent coverage and tend to be in a sale at least twice a year. Average life span at least 5 years so comparatively good value. I got 2 boxes of 4 at £12.99 each in the Amazon sale last year.
I like them 2 sizes bigger too.

Dillydollydingdong · 17/05/2023 19:52

I didn't like them. Much bigger and frumpier than I expected.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2023 19:55

I hated them. Bought my normal size (when I was a size 10) and thought the circulation was being cut off because the leg holes were so tight.

crabbyoldappletree · 17/05/2023 20:41

I did like them, and I've still got a few pairs which are at least 10 years old. But last year I treated myself to some new ones and I was really disappointed in the quality. Most have disintegrated (waist band has come away from the fabric), don't know if I was just unlucky with a bad batch or if the quality has become pants and they are just trading on their name.

Iyiyiiii · 17/05/2023 22:25

I've ordered some

Thanks all

I switched all of my everyday knickers to sloggis a couple of months ago. Brilliant quality, comfortable, wash well and definitely worth the money. I wear the same size I usually do. Don't understand this size up nonsense.

TrishTrix · 18/05/2023 08:21

I used to wear sloggi but have gone back to M&S as their cotton has improved and sloggi’s deteriorated.

it used to be worth the premium price for longer lasting pants but not any more.

I like midi knickers

Roann13 · 04/02/2025 08:37

I agree that the Sloggi Maxi cotton briefs I've tried are a small fit. I would also like to know what the elastic trim is made of since I had an allergic reaction to it. Tag says made in Sri Lanka. I wonder if the elastic has latex in it? They only tell you what the fabric is made of excluding trims!

Oh no, that’s disappointing, they were always my go-to Big Pants because of the quality.
I bought some from another company recently and the quality was awful. Thin fabric that looks as though it’s worn out, and waistband coming away on one pair. I never had that with Sloggi until they were really old. But I can believe the quality has declined because that often happens.

Timsoutnow · 30/08/2025 15:52

Just received my sloggi knickers and a bit disappointed I am a size 20 so ordered size 22 and the are too tight also they look different the elastic round the waist and legs is a lot narrower and the label that is on the outside of waist is different the word Sloggi is not red as on my knickers I already have and the material isn’t as soft just wondering if these are genuine or has the elastic been changed

Sloggi have lots of different lines - you may have bought a different one to your usual. These look like my "24/7" ones.
