Chino- type trousers for size 16-18

I would like to get a pair of smart casual navy cotton trousers that are like chinos but for a size 16-18. I find chinos are too tight around the lower leg then the top half just doesn’t fit right - baggy bottom or too tight waist etc. No matter what brand I’ve tried either, even when I was a size 10.

Any ideas please for smart casual trousers with maybe a slightly wider leg? Prefer cotton/mix as it’s for summer.

I don’t want jeans, track pants, and linen trousers as I already have these.

M&S have some that seem a bit looser than a regular chino.

I bought some White Stuff Twister chinos this year that seem a good fit, straight legged and not too big on the bottom and thighs. They have some nice colours, but they don't make them in navy, sadly.
I tried some M&S chinos and found them huge on the hips and thighs but the waist was quite tight so I couldn't size down.
Have you tried Fat Face? They did have chinos in their sale, I find their sizing quite generous.

I'm a 16 and have some lovely navy ones from Hobbs.

Try Magic pants! They are ultra stretch, fits like chinos but more fitted and flattering and really comfortable. They can be turned up a little. There are small boutiques all over uk selling them including Amazon - although the quality needs to be checked.

I would try googling for a pleated or flat front linen cotton mix wide leg trouser instead of "chino". I have some from a toast sale a year or so ago.

these I have the same problem, but these fit well.

Ralph Lauren Curve might be an option?

My Jean zipper broke at work last week so I nipped to Primark for something to change into and picked up a pair of their navy chinos. I was amazed at how nicely they fit and look compared to dearer brands I’ve had in the past and have worn them several times since.
