Anyone have any way of getting rid of these bastards. I have lots of them and I hate them.

OP posts:

After a post on here, I’ve taken the bulk of a few larger ones off us both with blister plasters. Just leave them on for a couple of weeks (they stay put through showers fine).

It won’t be perfect smooth skin underneath, but the bulk of ours have peeled off easily and some of the tips above would probably sort the last minor bit of slightly rougher skin if you were bothered - sure it will work much quicker with the bulk of the lumpy, ugly catchy bit gone.

I have them all over breast sides and under and abdomen too, hate them. Has anyone seen a derm or gp? Any tips pls

As pp i use high strength salicylic acid- bazuka extra strength

Need to cover it, it dries hard and white crust, leave it on for a few days; pick/ peel it off, usually parts of the SK come with. Bigger ones take a few rounds/applications.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 05/06/2024 15:51

Salicylic acid

AnotherVice · 05/06/2024 18:09

I found a solution! Farmers soap if you have an agricultural/animal feed shop nearby. It's just soap with bits of pumice in. I scrubbed really hard so not for the faint-hearted but it really helped!

S22 · 05/06/2024 18:59

Which brand or strength if salycilic acid did I use and is it safe to use around breast ?

do u mean u scrubbed them off with the soap or they just came off ? X
thanks

I tried retinol on one on my face- it disappeared.

BigSkies2022 · 05/06/2024 19:19

I've had them (seborrhoeic warts/ketosis) frozen off (liquid nitrogen) by dermatologist. Not cheap, (£350 for consultation plus treatment - now I know all about my moles/freckles, bits and bobs, so I know I'm in good nick, no nasties anywhere) but they were quite large. They've healed well, and I'll be using tretinoin 0.05% plus something called kelo gel for any residual scarring.

justasking111 · 05/06/2024 19:24

I'm saving up for the dermatologist. But pp said £400 to remove one 🙈. I'll never save enough money to remove a few dozen.

sparky255 · 05/06/2024 19:47

They're a pain, has some on my back, got them frozen off with a dermatologist privately.

@sparky255 did you pay £400 for each one?

Gosh no, nowhere near that much, that is very expensive. Ring round a few places and get some quotes, £400 seems very excessive.

MegsNaiceJam · 06/06/2024 01:12

They are utter bastards. I have a huge one near my c-section scar. It was frozen off by the BHS once but came back. I have been meaning to try wart solution.

My Grandad had loads, and they used to scare me. I’m getting loads of tiny ones on my
neck.

suki1964 · 06/06/2024 06:54

Bazuka - its salicylic acid and lactic acid

I was lucky to get one removed on the NHS during lockdown as it was constantly bleeding and itchy and I got referred on the back of a photo sent to GP. That one went, Ive another two develop :(

for the scaley areas developing on my legs and arms cerave skin smoothing cleanser and lots of moisturiser

Raspberri · 07/06/2024 00:04

How long does it take for them to go with the bazuka gel?

Blueuggboots · 07/06/2024 00:13

My mum has had these frozen off with liquid nitrogen using a cryopen. It's £90 a session and they freeze up to 3 at a time dependent on the size of them.

justasking111 · 12/06/2024 22:56

That's affordable for me. Thanks

S22 · 08/07/2024 16:56

Can you lovely ladies with these uploads pics, I have them all over my stomach and breasts. I feel like I have more than anyone on the planet and panicking it’s something underlying.

Stomach and breasts, particularly under breasts are very common. Don't worry. It's nothing to do with sun or cancer. It's mostly genetic. Unfortunately some people are just more prone.

S22 · 08/07/2024 17:14

@KnittedCardi you have them there too ? Mines are sides of outer breasts too. Im
really worried I literally have loads no exaggeration all over tummy and breast sides

Raspberri · 09/07/2024 15:08

I have loads but they're all on my back, breasts and stomach. I even saw a private dermatologist to check them out and she said they're fine. They just look awful.

eggplant16 · 09/07/2024 17:37

iwantawisteriathisyear · 16/07/2023 18:20

I had all mine frozen off at a private dermatologist. They've never grown back.

What if you've got hundreds? please?

DTisawazzock · 09/07/2024 17:48

OldKingCole · 12/07/2023 23:33

I am plagued with these too - all around torso and neck and especially bra stamp areas. Have had over 40 (v small!) ones frozen off in one go and they just keep popping up.
if I put fake tan on it looks so much as they just soak up the colour and turn darker.
at my wits end and so depressed
I’m only 47 but my Dr thinks that he would normally see this level on someon in their 70’s. I’m so worried it will just keep getting worse and worse 😞

How did you manage to get so many taken off in one go? Did you go privately? Was it expensive? Thanks
