Socks with pumps?

Could I get away with wearing any kind of a sock with a shoe like this with jeans.

The shoes I have are a bit more solid looking, more loafer like perhaps.

What about if the shoe was black would that look ok with a sock, or am I going to just have cold feet then?

I say go for it. Shoe like that with black jeans and black socks. If blue jeans I'd be inclined to through caution to the wind and go for some kind of non-matching patterned sock.

A girl has to wear socks in Feb.

perhaps I need to get some silly girly socks for the blue jeans then, I will go for black socks with black jeans then.

stripes are good - I have lovely socks from Falke in subtle autumny toning stripes

Ok I need to see pics of pumps and socks and jeans to be convinced, it looks cool and trendy on young students, but being a somewhat maturer student I am not sure I can get away with the same things.

Go for thick tights, hold ups or pop socks they always look better.

With socks I find you can get bunching over the front of the pumps which looks awful.
