Once again not ready for sun! What are you wearing today?

I desperately need inspiration! I love simple, quite casual dresses to wear with Birkenstocks or black flatform sandals. Even better if they'd work from day with kids to evening bbq or beer garden with friends. I hate everything I own from last year. I'm size 10 and need some kind of waist definition (drawstring, tie, cinch) or I generally look 2 sizes bigger!

Any ideas so appreciated!!!

I was caught out today too! We merry friend for lunch, I wore jeans, silk tank trainers and a cropped tweed jacket. Had to ditch jacket as far too hot!

Can't believe that. It's so hot further north.

We're in Hertfordshire. Forecast was 18° . Reality was about 11° and overcast. Feeling quite chilly and shortchanged

Jeans and my biggest jumper! It was unexpectedly freezing in London today; not what we were forecast at all, and very disappointing!

22 degrees in the the north west. Wore just this dress and was warm all day.

its really soft and waisted so very flattering. I burnt my bloody feet where I missed a bit with the sun cream 😫

I was freezing my nuts off at DS football presentation. The big coat nearly came back out!!

But I also went to Morrisons in anticipation of our holiday and they had a couple of lovely linen dresses and short play suits just as you describe with belts to cinch.

Me and my linen trousers must visit this magic place.

I've been frantically searching and all the good stuff is already sold out on Next in my size. Why do I not learn? Why do I do this to myself every year 😲
