After years of the same style that you know how to look after and suits you?…

I have had a short haircut, a bit like Anne Hathaways old style, for 15 years. Every now again tried to grow out but kind of never figured out why bob longer hair didn’t work - not thick enough, not styled properly?

Short hair also somehow makes odd grey hairs a bit less offensive, but I feel like I am missing out, it always look the same…

My family are bored of this topic, so put me right please - do I stick for the rest of my days with the signature look or try one last time?

I’m the opposite. I have long (down to back bra band) hair with a few long layers and occasionally I have the urge for a change.
I have had it cut really short 3 or 4 times in my life and really regretted it. I have too many kinks so it’s difficult to style and I really look like my brother! I have also, several times, had a fringe cut in to try to give me a new look instead of my boring long hair. I have always regretted that too because it sticks up if I get caught in the rain or the airs a little damp, it is just awful.
I was at the hairdressers the other day for a trim discussing my options and I’m now just resigned to boring hair for the rest of my life.

Why don’t you see if you can order a couple of cheap wigs, just to give you a really good look at how you would actually look? That way you can decide if it’s worth persevering and growing.

I can relate to that!

Im never going to be happy with my hair - too fine, lank and now too thin.

I now just try to make my hair look tidy. I’ve changed my focus - regularly dye my eyebrows so it looks like I have some, and wear rich red lipsticks that suit my skin tone.

I had very short hair pre Covid but then with lockdowns etc ended up growing it out. So it went from about 2 inches long on top, with short back and sides, to below my bra strap in the space of about 3 years. I went and chopped it all back to super short yesterday. The sense of relief is fantastic.
