Solid shampoo and conditioner bars

I love the idea of not buying plastic and am always drawn to these bars.

Does anyone here use them?

Im concerned about how effective they are - do they truly clean and condition hair?

I also wonder how long they take to lather up. I can be in and out of the shower in 3 mins but the last bar I tried took me ages to get enough lather to wash my hair.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Another option is the likes of body shop do refills so if you bring in a container they'll pump you out what you need if you prefer a liquid product but don't want the additional plastic?

Yes I get the herbal essence honey one when it is on offer and faith in nature coconut one.

Another Gruum fan, well dh is. I have very fine fluffy hair and find bars are too effective and make it worse. Also use purple shampoo. Avoid My Liitle Eco or whatever it’s called now as they don’t lather.

Ah I lather in my hands which I find works best ! I find the Gruum conditioner bars fine .

I use a combination of Faith in Nature coconut shampoo and conditioner (refilled at local market) and their coconut shampoo and conditioner bars.

I started getting a build up with the bars alone so now use the liquid ones intermittently.

I started using Gruum's nourishing shampoo and conditioner bars at the end of March. They're amazing! My hair feels so clean, even between washes.
