Is it possible for a tailor to change this coat belt into one with a buckle?

I have my eye on a raincoat with a tie belt - the sort that have no buckles and you just tie in a knot. But I would prefer it to have a buckle as I think they look much better - self-tying belts always look awful when I tie them. Has anyone successfully asked a tailor to do this? I don't want to buy a random belt with a buckle for it when the coat itself is so £££.

I'm sure it would be, I think anyone with minimal sewing skills could easily attach a buckle to the belt.
I love the coat, I have their parka in that colour.

You can easily do that yourself. Just buy a buckle from a haberdashery or on Amazon.

Yes if you join at want a standard pull through buckle you can do it yourself

A proper buckle with the pin in the middle and holes slightly trickier

Yeah sorry, I meant a proper buckle with pin and holes for the pin to go through! Too tricky?

I’d say any tailor could do that easily

A tailor will be able to do the proper buckle and pin holes.
