Ideally would be:

Thick and fairly high crew neck

Slightly oversized

Longer slightly loose sleeves not tight on arms

Not thin material that will lose its shape

Organic / recycled cotton

I really like the Arket heavy tee shirts.
£35 each, so not cheap, but they are really good quality.
