Is the high street rubbish?

Is it me? Or is anyone finding the high street a bit crap right now?

Was in local big town shopping centre the other day, nothing grabbed my eye or not a lot in Zara, Mint Velvet or M&S.

Saw a pink oversized blouse in Whistles but for almost £80 and even with discount no way! Bought and returned a green button top there and the green cardigan they have wasn’t in my size.

In my local boutique today it’s all oversized and not me. I did get some small slightly stretch jeans which I wanted/needed and in a sale. Plus some fluorescent earrings made by a local maker.

Agree, I took my adult DD out to Lakeside , there was a shop I've never set foot in before (and don;t know the name) that had a few nice dresses .
But slim pickings elsewhere

I bought bras and socks , (which I needed) , DD got socks .

I did buy some tops online in M&S though.I blame one of the threads on here which took me to M&S then it had the you might also like ...and I bought four .

I think it’s much of a muchness now with maybe the exception of Cos and Other Stories which I do think offer something different. Although my opinion really is based around the main brands that every high street seems to have such as Next etc.

It is really crap sadly. I struggle to find anything these days and buy most secondhand. It’s such a shame it’s gone downhill so badly!
