This may be an impossible task, but.... shoes for bunions and cankles?

I'm going to a lunch party - jackets/ties for men, dresses for men. The dress I'm wearing is this one. I'd like to draw attention away from my legs/ankles/feet if possible. When I've worn it before I wore white plimsolls similar to the pic, but they looked quite big and flappy ( I've also got size 8-9 feet). Has anyone got any ideas? Has to hide bunions and not have any kind of ankle strap. Basically I want something that makes my feet disappear! Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to be relatively smart. Like your dress.
Some lightweight but supportive pumps such as The Livvy below from Hotter - unobtrusive and can be slipped off easily under the table. You could find something similar but much cheaper if you search about.

If you suffer from cankles OP ( I do too!) is a midaxi length the best? There's not a lot of room to see the shape of your legs, so it's very easy for them to just look up and down between hem and shoe. Would something midi length just below the knee work better? Or have this one taken up?

The Paver shoes look good, but no size 8s in any of the styles I like. Love the Sole Bliss, but out of my price range. As far as dress length is concerned, I’m tall, so the dress isn’t as long as it is on the model. I’ve tried shorter dresses but have huge calves, so it’s swings and roundabouts! Just about to look at Cala. Thank you all for your suggestions so far
