What colour tie for prom to go with this suit?

DS has this lovely suit and is wearing tan Derby shoes. He's got a plain white shirt. He doesn't need to coordinate with anyone else so what colour tie should he wear?

My has a similar suit and tan shoes and has chosen a plain red tie.
