White (or other colours) ultimate vest top

I'm searching for the Holy Grail of vest tops, help please!

Thicker straps preferred
Thicker material or double-fronted, so it doesn't cling
No gaping armholes.

I'm short, so petite is preferred but not essential.

I had a nice quality one from Albaray last summer, John Lewis stock them

M&S does a ribbed one this year which is perfect and only about £9.Thick enough,fits well just the right length and good quality.

Zara don’t do full double lined, but it’s super thick and has a bra shelf

I got one last summer from Uniqlo. It's quite heavy cotton, almost a bit too heavy for the days when you only want to wear a vest top! But it's stitched nicely and definitely not see through. The fit is good

I also have a few Arket ones, which are lighter cotton but better for really hot days imo. Also no armhole gapes, and slightly ribbed so they fit well.

I like the m&s ones, but find them a bit long for me petite, I don't always want to tuck in.

Boden is worth a look. I haven't got the vest but the double layer tops are great as a staple.

I have this one and as a 5'4 it's not too long, straps not too thin, thick cotton.

I’ve bought from both M&S and H&M this year - both seem good quality. Only £8.50 in marks and £9.99 H&M
