Loose powder for mature skin

I’d like to try a translucent powder for the bridge of my nose as I wear glasses. I don’t want to spend huge amounts on brands like Huda despite how recommended they are as the finish might just be a disaster on my older face. I’m 52. Can anyone suggest a really fine powder that’s in boots or Superdrug?

I'd try the soap & glory one in this instance.

Boots no 7 is great for this. I'm a similar age to you, and wear glasses

If you can get someone to give you a sample, I'd totally recommend Chantecaille, but it is expensive. I'm 57 and it's the only one I've found (since the demise of the lovely Magic Powder that felt wet when you put it on) that doesn't clump. Lasts forever.

Alternatively, at the other end of the price spectrum, a tiny bit of fuller's earth might do the trick - used by makeup artists apparently to kill shine. But apply very, VERY sparingly (also great for getting grease stains out of fancy fabrics!).
