Thoughts so far…

Dua Lipa and Emily Ratajkowski look quite lovely and elegant for once

Rita Ora… does not

Penelope Cruz’s dress is just a tad too bridal

LOVE Phoebe Bridgers’ dress (but I love her in general so I’m biased)

Olivia Wilde looks like a high priestess from some sort of cult

Excited to see what Blake Lively does this year, she always looks fantastic but last year’s NYC inspired dress will be hard to top.

Some good examples and some dresses/outfits that are more bling than couture! I wonder if this event is getting a bit tired and seems like a PR exercise for those simply famous for being famous and less of a showcase for the best in couture. Interesting what designers are not represented.

Blake’s not doing it this year, as she’s just had her baby. Gutting!

I liked Kim K, and really liked Florence Pugh. Overall a very poor showing I thought.

I thought it was all very underwhelming. Safe choices. I’m so bored of celebs in a variety of see through frocks. I liked Kristen Stewart’s suit. She looked knackered though. Stand out for me was Pedro Pascal in the red Valentino.

Viola Davis was my fave - she actually understood the assignment, which is to look over the top but also awesome. Most Met Gala attendees manage one but not the other. Kaitlyn Dever also looked fab.

Karl Lagerfeld was a hideous racist old frump who hated women and had an unhealthy obsession with his cat, no one should celebrate him and his lego haircut.

Plus nothing trumps the Heavenly Bodies theme they did in 2018.

Emily Ratajkowski looked… bigger than usual, so that dress is not very flattering at all.

I think Aubrey Plaza looked great, but I have had a girl crush on her since White Lotus. ☺️

Unsure why everyone is worshipping a sexist, racist, ablist, size-ist misogynist, TBH.

Jared Leto was my fave

Giselle looks amazing as do Kate and Lila Moss.

im mortified for Dua Lipa after watching her interview in which she only meowed 🙄

Leticia Wright stood out to me.

I also enjoyed seeing the wearers of classic Chanel.

Burberry seemed to have used the same material for nearly all the black stars, like some sort of uniform.

I almost liked Asap Ricky’s kilt with a trail but the jeans spoilt it

After I'd seen about 5 black and white dresses with tweed, pearls and gold chains I found I was quite bored.

The vintage looks were great. Anne Hathaway knocked everyone else out with her dress which was both 100% Versace and 100% Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel at the same time.

Jodie Comers Burberry dress was beautiful!

and Stormzy looked the most suave/dapper IMO.

The Peltz-Beckhams looked classy.

But I think the winner for me was Gisele in Vintage Chanel!

I think that Jared Leto coming as Choupette just made it for me.
