50 year old hair advice

I have just turned 50 and my hair is dull after heavy use of home colouring to try and hide the greys. I am a light brown but currently I feel on the ginger side in some lights.

My regrowth is fast.

Any advice gratefully received please 🙏

Are you ready to go grey? That will influence the answer a lot! I'm 51 and have started growing mine out with lots of highlights to blend all the colours together.

Either way, a salon trip will get you a nicer colour with some depth to it.

Yeah it’s a trip to the salon for you. They will advise on what to do about the condition of your hair but also the best way to manage your colour going forward. I have a salon colour 3 times a year and it’s lasts so much longer than home colours, regrowth is much like noticeable, and my hair is in better condition.
