Where would I look for a smart mac with a hood?

Or am I looking for something so outdated it doesn't exist?

I feel that the smart coat is making a comeback and used to love the way a decent coat made an outfit.

I'm thinking of a 3/4 length trech style mac but with a hood. Ideally a colour, not beige or black? I'm sure I have seen one but....

I'd pay £££ for something good quality.

Sorry just realised the Mac doesn't have a hood! Worth a look at the other styles which do, though

M&S do a trench with a (removable) hood. Beige or dark green.

I totally agree with you by the way op. I can't stand umbrellas and the number of trenchcoats that don't even pretend to be rain resistant, never mind offer the option of a hood, drives me nuts.

Burberry. Mine has a detachable hood, plus a quilted lining for the coat and hood that is also detachable. I got it a few years ago but I'd expect they still do something similar.

I came here to say rain sisters too. I love mine, completely waterproof, really good sized hood and fabulous quality.

Musto do some great ones with hoods. I have a knee length one and they do them in various colours.

I've had a navy one from David Barry for nearly a decade. Goes in the washing machine, still looks like new. I wear it to death and the hood is a godsend in this country.
