Ordered a dress online and it's really long, down to my feet ... but I like it! Is it a dated look these days? Just wondering!

I'd say maxi dresses are trendproof at this stage. I absolutely love them, and I invite anyone who hasn't tried one to give it a go. Honestly, the swishy effect brings out your inner goddess!

I'm not tall, I'm five foot three. I've had maxi dresses shortened at the tailors. Don't be like my sister in law and lose two front teeth on a kerbstone for fashion.

I agree that maxis have breached trends and are now a classic wardrobe staple. I love swishing round in one in the summer with chunky platforms, sunglasses on and margarita in hand 😎
