Hi

I've booked laser hair removal 1/2 legs Brazilian and underarms.

I had the consultation and patch test which was fine but only a few pulses. I'm fair with dark hair so good candidate. I've only committed to 2 sessions just in case it's not great.

If anyone has had it before and can advise id be grateful. I've had waxing and found it fine so hoping pain isn't too bad.

It is actually laser or IPL. They’re similar but the results can be different.

shave the area first. Keep your skin moisturised after.
you need to keep up with the treatments or the hair growth will resume as normal.

Don’t freak when you seem to have a lot of hair week 2…. This is the dead follicle pushing up and out 😊

The most pain is a little heat 😃

I have had laser on my bikini and underarms (8 sessions) and I did find it really quite sore. The reading I had done before suggested it was less painful than waxing but takes longer, many times compared to being flicked with an elastic band, that was not my experience. For me at the worst places where hair is thickest it’s like a red hot needle being inserted in the hair follicle.

The lady who did my sessions picked up on my obvious discomfort during the second session where the intensity was increased and chose to bring the setting back down to make it more manageable, she also made a note and kept that setting for further sessions. So this is something you can ask for. I told myself it’s 15 minutes of pain every 6 weeks, and my results have been fantastic, 18 months after my final session I am still really happy. I don’t know if it hurt me so much because my skin is so pale and hair so dark.

Newer lasers like Motus and Soprano are almost painless. The older type was stingy.

I've had ipl and Lazer. IPL is like an elastic band pinging, really ok.

Lazer is totally different!
I take nurofen and paracetamol before my appointment. It's a very needly feeling. And makes my leg jump.

Legs should be ok but good luck for the Brazilian
