Facial hair

Wondering if anyone can help?

I have dark facial hair on/under my chin, two large long patches. I've tried laser hair removal which worked to a degree but she did mention that once I stopped there was a higher chance of it coming back darker/thicker. I had to stop because of the cost.

At the minute I'm shaving it, which is making it sore and more noticeable. I try and leave it a few days then shave it and it does go really smooth and there isn't evidence of the hair being there. It does seem to go for a few days if a tweeze the hairs out, but it hurts!

I don't have PCOS, my hormone levels are fine, I just want rid!

Any ideas?

I had terrible facial hair and I've been having laser treatment. It has been amazing. I was quite cynical about it working (I'd tried home laser) but the professional version is so much better.
It can be expensive but it's worth it in my view.

I have not tried it myself, but I hear good things about epilation. That's something you can do at home, and an epilator is a one time investment.

I have the Braun facial epilator and it's really good, quite painful at first but gets easier and the results last longer than plucking or waxing.

My blood tests were normal, so it took many years to get PCOS diagnosed. You need an ultrasound. I have found lasering quite good with the hair, but it does require a top up. As PCOS comes with insulin resistance, I take Metformin and that has helped to keep the hair down. If laser does not work well, look at electrolysis.

Thank you all for your replies, I will certainly look into a facial epilator @scoobydoo1971 I've had IVF so I've had my insides looked at from every angle haha but thank you, going to have a Google around electrolysis too 😊

I had great results with electrolysis.
