Buying handbags from US - heeelp

Hi All,

I have been looking at buying some new bags and i realised they are more than half the price in the US than they are here, they also have some bags on their site that aren't available in the UK.

I have been looking into using a company that can give me an 'address' to ship to in the US and forward to me, has anyone used this before? If so, please can you recommend anyone and did you have to pay a lot of tax on arrival?

You should be charged vat and import duty

Sometimes this will be missed but in my experience I have always had to pay

Thank you, do you know how much it is? I think its 20% but not sure..

Just trying to work out if it will end up cheaper with all of the charges added on

I would be very wary at bags being less than half the price! Are they high end designer bags?

PickledPurplePickle · 26/04/2023 13:03

Vat is 20%
duty is 4% for handbags I think

They're not high end designer, just coach outlet. They have bags for £140ish that are over £300 on the UK one
