Bag ideas for a 21st birthday present

My DS's girlfriend is 21 in May and I'm struggling for gift ideas. I want to spend about £50. I had thought earrings initially but wonder if a bag might be more useful. She's an art student and I would like to get something quirky (not mainstream brand). Any suggestions? Do you think my budget is too small for anything decent? Or any other ideas generally?

@doglover90 oh my god you understood the brief! The tattoo shop with the cat is perfect. GF loves her cat tattoos and for a bag that perfect I'm willing to blow the budget. Which size do you reckon would be most usable?

Look for inspiration in the gift stores at museums. Always good is V&A.

Brilliant! I think if you can stretch to the backpack it's really cool and practical, but I also think the other two you mentioned are great choices - the Tattoo has got 2 compartments rather than one, so I'd probably prefer the Bella as you could maybe fit something a bit bulkier in it.

@doglover90 you're thinking exactly the same as me. I could stretch to the rucksack but I didn't want to look like I'm going over the top. However, she would never know unless she looked it up I think - she is not at all materialistic - in fact the absolute opposite. I have now been sent a 20% off voucher so I think I'm going for it. Thanks for helping me decide. 😊
