Jeans that go in at the middle

I need some jeans. I hate jeans shopping. I tried in some M&S girlfriend jeans and I liked the legs but the cut assumed that your waist and hips are the same circumference. I go in in the middle and have quite a pronounced 'back scoop' (technical term). Can anyone recommend anything highstreet y? I'm usually a size 14 in my bum, I'm hourglass shaped. Thanks!

I have hips and a waist, and have some M and S straight jeans that fit well.
They have a bit of stretch which helps.

What about these ones from Shein

I have the same problem. I've noticed asos have started selling jeans designed for hourglass shapes and I'm going to give then a go

aNewYorkerInLondon · 21/04/2023 16:14

They're not cheap, but Spanx does a pull-on, flat front flared-leg jean that is very comfy and flattering. I wouldn't wear it with only a tucked in top, but with a jumper or untucked shirt, they look completely normal. They're the only jeans I have that hug that back curve properly.

DuchessOfSausage · 21/04/2023 17:09

Try ones described as 'curve'. Girlfriend ones are a variation on boyfriend so will not go in much at the waist

StrugglingWeight · 21/04/2023 17:16

I love abercrombie curve range, its got more hip/thigh room and a small waist so is great if you are hourglass, and the jeans are great quality

tinselvestsparklepants · 21/04/2023 17:41

Thanks all, useful to know to look for 'curve'. Can you tell it's been a while since I tried jeans shopping - possibly my least favourite thing to try and buy in the universe!

Don’t Simply B do a range where you can adjust the waist at the back with some sort of buckle/ belt?

RampantIvy · 21/04/2023 18:31

Levi used to do a curve range. I don't think they do any more.

PetitPorpoise · 21/04/2023 18:53

A few "midsize" accounts that I follow for size 16-18 sort of outfits seem to love the Abercrombie Curve Love jeans. I'm definitely going to give them a go next chance I get.

Bras are worse (for me anyway) 🍉🍉🍉🍉

JellicleCat · 21/04/2023 20:37

I have the same problem re body shape. The best fit ones I found were from Fatface but I haven't bought any jeans in the last few years so not sure what their fir is like currently.

Thegirlisnotright · 21/04/2023 23:05

River island mom jeans are good for that shape

WhereAreWeNow · 22/04/2023 08:03

Have you tried the M&S mom jeans? They fit me really well. Nipped in on the waist and then looser over the hips and legs.

I loathe bra shopping, it's always so bloody hot in the changing rooms.

dudsville · 22/04/2023 08:41

NYDJ (not your daughter's jeans) are fab for curves. It's a US brand so be careful re sizes. I haven't worn jeans for a while but when i did i bought these off amazon.

anon2022anon · 22/04/2023 08:47

ASOS design hourglass range is designed for this. A range of cuts, but all of them have wider hips and thighs, smaller waist, and normally £20-30

Where do you shop? I find that shops tend to have too much air con and they are too cold.

JackGrealishsLegs · 22/04/2023 09:46

Weekday Rowe jeans have a really high rise and are good for this.

Bravissimo, God I'd much rather be cold when trying on bras. I come out all hot and fed up (and sore from all the twisting and hoiking), Especially after tryng on about 10 of them.

ToBeOrNotToBee · 22/04/2023 11:37

Very essentials jeans fit my curvy hips like a dream

RampantIvy · 22/04/2023 11:37

I'm not big enough for Bravissimo :(

KnittedCardi · 22/04/2023 11:39

DD gets hers from Hollister Curvy Range. Tiny waist, big butt.
