Can anyone help me find a light orange/mandarin perfume?

I’d like a perfume which is a very simple and light orange (or mandarin) scent, similar to the scent of Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Cream or Superdrug Vitamin C Booster.

I’m happy to go cheap or expensive but don’t want to shop at Body Shop.

Does anyone have any suggestions I could try?

Clarins Eau des Jardins is the loveliest citrus scent ever. It doesn't last for ages but it's a massive bottle so you can spritz it on liberally.

The only perfume I wear.

Absolutely love it.

Aqua Allegoria's Mandarine Basilic, and Orange Soleia are both lovely.

I was complemented yesterday on a Monotheme one " Agrumi di Sicilia'. I bought it in M&S. It's fresh and light.

This is one of my all time favourite citrusses.
@ThePoglesWood citrusses won't last unless they've got some hefty base notes,(Seville à l'aube for example has a hefty blast of lavender and patchouli so lasts for days, despite being essentially an "orange" perfume) so not worth spending loads of money on them. Yves Rocher do a lovely Neroli (orange blossom) and the Fragonard one upthread is very similar. Both lovely and cheap too.
Perfume Parlour do dupes of the Jo Malones and the ubiquitous Tom Ford Neroli Portofino and <whispers> it lasts longer than the real thing and because there's nothing fancy or creative about NP is almost identical to the very lovely, but ultimately simple, real thing.
H&M do an orange perfume for about a fiver.
Lots in M&S too.

Thank you for posting this, they released this collection many many years ago and then discontinued it and I love the Fig, Almonds and Orange versions of this. So I thought it was lost to me forever, cant tell you how pleased I am they're doing it again, although unfortunatley not the parfum.

Anxiodogo · 17/04/2023 18:59

Definitely go on fragrantica.com

You can search 1000s by notes and loads on info on lasting power and projection.
I spend hours on there, I love it

I love this, it's definitely a blast of citrus/orange blossom, but it just has no staying power whatsoever on me! Do you layer it with the body lotion?

JaceLancs · 17/04/2023 19:08

Guerlain aqua allegoria
the grapefruit is lovely too

LadyEloise1 · 17/04/2023 19:23

M&S do lovely perfumes. Some include an orange fragrance.

Thank you all so much for all the suggestions. I’ve written a long list which will keep me busy when I go into town. Thanks for the Fragrantica suggestion. Also for the dupe companies. I will be ordering some samples 🙂

Ateliers de parfum do a pomelo one, if not a clementine

https://www.ateliercologne.com/us_en/pomelo-paradis

The full citrus

https://www.ateliercologne.com/us_en/perfumes/sunny-citruses

Is this similar to the clementine california they did which was discontinued?

Ruthietuthie · 17/04/2023 20:53

Also came on to recommend Guerlain Aqua Allegorical Mandarine.

I wear this and it's lovely in summer. What I really want is a good lemony one. I bloody loved the D&G light blue Italian summer last year but refuse to buy special editions any more as they just cause heartache!

I love a lemony perfume too. So refreshing and clean.

Chickydoo · 17/04/2023 21:21

I love an orange scent
My absolute favourite is Serge Leutens Fleurs d'orange.
Long lasting & I always get compliments wearing it

bananafishbones1 · 17/04/2023 22:14

I really liked this one I sniffed it at Fortnums. It was £60 before Christmas 😬

Can anyone help me find a light orange/mandarin perfume?
NowZeusHasLainWithLeda · 18/04/2023 06:35

@Bovrilla
I tend to go lemon rather than orange in summer:

Eau d'Hadrien by Annick Goutal is my absolute favourite lemon and my bottle will be coming out very soon!

Mary Greenwood Lemon is a very grown up chypre lemon if you can still get hold of it (I got mine from the Fragrance Shop a couple of years ago)

Eau du Sud by Annick Goutal is sharper and more of a sour lime than Hadrien but still fab. Jade by Yardley, Liz Earle 1 and Cristalle by Chanel are all very similar with sharp green citrus notes.

4160 Tuesdays do some lemons but I've only tried one called something like Lemon Sherbet. It's a very sweet lemon.

Wallywobbles · 18/04/2023 06:44

Fragonard Bigarde Jasmin is very orangey despite the name. This one. www.fragonard.com/en-int/bigarade-jasmin-c-1060-tp-106070.htm
