Hi all,
I have a work conference in a few weeks. I need to travel there, then may be invited to dinner etc with the people already there, that will probably be smart casual. I'll wear leggings to travel in and then change.
The following day we are on a team building activity ending in a restaurant then drinks maybe, which again will be smart comfortable, I assume
The following day, will be spent in meetings, so I need workwear.
I'm 41, 5'1, and currently 16-18, smaller in the shoulders and losing weight, hour glass apple if that makes sense, I can post a pic if not. If you look at me from the front I'm hour glass, if you look at me from the side im like a poddington pea. I'm very consious of a visible 'apron'/not flat stomach so I prefer tunic length tops to cover that.
I find trousers difficult to find, I used to get them from the petite range in Dorothy Perkins, I loved thier stuff for work and used to wear trousers, top and blazer, usually with block heeled timberland boots.
Now, I live in Europe and my budget is pretty non existent atm. So I'm looking at M&S, C&A, H&M and Lefties. We also have Diechmann for shoes.
I work from home other than this yearly conference so wear leggings or gym clothes at home, unless on a more formal teams call where I'll put on a smarter top or cover up with a cardigan.
Because I'm an apple I sometimes find trousers uncomfortable so I had the bright idea of just trying to wear dresses that I've already got and get some tights and suitable shoes. This will work for the meeting day and maybe the dinners. on the teambuilding day I'll wear jeans I've got (skinny jeans) and a top.
I find skater dresses suit me. And 40's/50's style.
I like these shoes, will they work with leggings, jeans and dresses?
And any ideas for outfits I can put together, ie shapes/styles/colours?
My colouring is Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria etc.
