Anyone own Air and Grace trainers?

I’m after some new white trainers and these look lovely. Any Air and Grace wearers here? What’s the quality like? Are they as comfy as people say?

I have been looking at these for ages and have finally bitten the bullet and bought some.
I ordered both the cru and roxy style and ended up keeping the roxy. I felt the cru looked a bit more weathered (which is obviously the style) and that as the soles were thinner they felt less comfortable when putting them on but they were still, nice trainers.
I wore the roxy trainers for a full day and did a reasonable amount of walking around. I expected them to take a bit of breaking in but I honestly forgot they were on my feet. I haveonly worn them that one time up to now though so other people may be able to offer a better review.

I expected mine to be more comfortable after reading reviews (maybe I was expecting too much?!) I think they're quite narrow. After a few wears they're fine now & although I like them I certainly don't get the 'walking on air' 'most comfortable shoes ever' 'forgot I was wearing them' feeling that lots of people seem to. I don't think I'd buy them again because for the price I've definitely had better trainers. But like I said they're ok & other people seem to love them so I guess it's just a personal thing.

That’s helpful to know. I think I’ll wait until I’m in London in June and try some on in the shop. I bought a pair of Stan Smiths last year after everyone raved about them and they were so uncomfortable! Trainers really need trying on, don’t they?

I went to buy a pair of these are I like the look, but I found them very uncomfortable. The soles are thin and it felt like I was wearing converse.

Georgieporgie29 · 16/04/2023 15:51

Yes, they really do. This is why it took me so long to order them, I’ve previously started threads on here myself about them asking the same question with mixed reviews. I am glad that I did order them now though and I honestly thought it would be the Cru ones that I kept.

I’ve also just got myself some of the popular new balance ones and like them too. I returned the Nike dawns I ordered as although I quite liked them they felt quite heavy and I could feel the relief after taking them off from wearing them for only 5 minutes going up and down the stairs in the house.

as you can probably tell I try a lot of trainers and am constantly looking for the perfect ones.

Georgieporgie29 · 16/04/2023 15:52

Which ones did you order @newmum1976 ? I wonder if it was the Cru ones because I would say the same, like converse but slightly more comfortable.

Ponks · 16/04/2023 16:09

Following this thread as I've been promising myself a pair of the Cru trainers, but not if they're not comfortable!

MsDastardley · 16/04/2023 16:13

I’ve got two pairs of the Roxy. They’re ok comfort wise, but I think they’re heavy. Probably wouldn’t buy again

I’m not sure as I tried a couple of different styles on in a shop. I was gutted as I’d traipsed miles across London to find them.

Georgieporgie29 · 16/04/2023 16:42

Ah I’m nowhere near London so had to order them online. Delivery was super quick though, have returned 1 pair but not had money back yet so will see how that goes.

mintbiscuit · 16/04/2023 17:08

Comfy but they do come up narrow. More comfy than my Stans because they are a softer leather.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 16/04/2023 17:18

I love the cru, I find them so comfy and I live in them, wear all day nearly everyday and walk all over in them. Surprised people think they are narrow as I have reasonably wide feet. Wait and buy in the sale, they will reduce the cru to 129 to start with and sometimes you get lucky at 99. Obviously not all colour ways.

swimminginthesun · 25/06/2023 07:35

I realise this thread is a couple of months old now but I came across it looking for reviews. Their sale is on now and I’m tempted to try the cru. I had a pair of Roxy (from Vinted) but I have wide feet and they were so tight across my toes I ended up selling them on again. @Martinisarebetterdirty did you get your normal size or size up? @LabradorsByTheSea did you get a pair?

Martinisarebetterdirty · 25/06/2023 07:38

I get my normal size.

Larkslane · 25/06/2023 07:47

After reading glowing reviews on mumsnet last year I ordered a pair.
I was very disappointed.
They were quite narrow fitting. The leather was hard rather than supple, I found them very uncomfortable and returned them.
I expected a lot more for the price.
Perhaps my feet were the wrong shape for them too!

3BSHKATS · 25/06/2023 08:23

I’ve got quite a few pairs of their shoes purely because of the sizing there’s not many places I can get a size 9 Trainer. They’re alright nothing amazing.
