DP recently had a birthday, and as well as bits and bobs to open on the day, I said his main present was that we would go sunglasses shopping for him together, and he could pick out a nice pair which I would pay for, up to maybe a couple of hundred quid (he's recently stopped needing to wear corrective glasses, so the whole new world of non-prescription sunglasses options is now open to him).
I've never really been into sunglasses other than the odd fashion pair picked up from a clothes shop or something, and he's always worn corrective glasses, sometimes with a reactive tint, so neither of us really knows where you go for this.
My nearest city has a Sunglass Hut, and I know opticians tend to carry a few pairs of non-prescription sunglasses, and various high street shops and supermarkets will have a stand with a few pairs of fashion sunglasses. But all this seems a bit… bitty, somehow? It's Sunglass Hut really the only option for a real-life in-person shop with decent-quality sunglasses and lots of different styles to try?
