I have never ordered from them before and like a few bits from their new range. Can anyone tell me if their clothes are good quality?

OP posts:
Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:35

Any thoughst on my trouser size query? (see below)

SilentTerror · 15/02/2008 13:36

Where are you Tutter?
Nearest one to me is in Chester,30 miles away,so I order online or wait until i go on holiday!
I think it can seem 'samey' because it is more of a look in itself as opposed to high fashion IFYSWIM.Like Fat face,Boden(!) and even Noa Noa.

snowleopard · 15/02/2008 13:36

Do you only shop at places that have really brainy-looking models in their catalogues cod? I expect you pay a premium for that...

DualCycloneCod · 15/02/2008 13:37

i hate the word cardi
inf act ahte cardigans on the whoel
htey are drippy
white stuff is increasingly drippy.

Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:38

She has got a point about the models; they leave their mouths open as if they expected flies to hop in.

snowleopard · 15/02/2008 13:39

I'm a 14 in their trousers and a 14-16 elsewhere. So you probably need a 10 colin but re the tummy, check the cut of the trouser to make sure it's not too low.

Their dolce pants are great pg trousers btw, because of the low-cut front.

Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:39

Which I suppsoe would only be advantageous to them if they were frogs or carnivorous plants. Trouser size query?

Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:40

oops cross-post snowleopard, thanky ou very much - will check out dolce pant...

snowleopard · 15/02/2008 13:41

cardi cardi cardi

Aaaah lovely. Cardis are great.

Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:41

Not that am pregnant but have low slung droopy belly. My that sounds nice

snowleopard · 15/02/2008 13:44

I think you want trousers with a high-cut front to pack the belly into (I speak from experience!). Save the dolce ones for when you are pg - unless you want it to flop over!

Actually I find their skirts are better for this. I've got one that has a very fitted panel around the waist, then flares - brilliant for tummy.

Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:47

The skirts are definitely brilliant for my sort of rollupable tummy but I had thsi hankering for trousers (as someone who has been hiding self in skirts and frocks ever since started procreating but recently lost a stone and now having delusions of svelteness belied by said tummy). You are right I need something thta goes up to navel at least without being highwaisted and bottom lnegthening...

Colinfirth · 15/02/2008 13:48

oops where did the punctuation go?

There is A shop Called Seasalt or something like that in Cornwall, one in Falmouth and St Ives, also even one on Scilly. Sells White Stuff,Noa Noa etc. Am in my element in there!!!
Cod,where do you approve of for clothes?have noticed your aversion to Next, which I can understand, and Boden, which I am ashamed to say I can't>>)

norkmaiden · 15/02/2008 14:08

does anyone have a paper WS catalogue handy?? And if so, could you pretty please tell me the dimensions of an Allegra leather bag??

(doesn't say online, and am tempted - as long as it's not teeny)

ZippiBabes · 15/02/2008 14:10

i used to wear white stuff for sailing years ago but it seems a bit fuddy duddy to me unless you are on a boat

Habbibu · 15/02/2008 15:36

Who are you calling fuddyduddy, Zippi

I think the low-cut tops thing is a cunning plan to make you buy a vest to go underneath, tbh...
