Eyeshadow palette for travel

I love my Mac palettes, but they’re a bit huge for taking on holiday with hand luggage only. I know ai could get small Mac palettes for 4 and use refills, but I’m not minded to pay £15 for each colour when they’d be duplicates!

Any suggestions for a 2 or 4 colour palette similar quality to Mac? I tend to use warm browns

Are your existing palettes not removable?

I had a bit of a hack but they seem pretty firmly fixed….maybe I’m being too gentle

My Mac palettes were made up of individual colours and I decanted them into an empty elf quad palette that fits shadows the same size

Urban Decay - any good?

What about the mini x9 Mac palettes? They're often on offer for around £20.

This is the palette and the individual colours seem to be well fixed in-I’m scared I’ll smash them if I go in too hard

@Housewife2010 I looked at the 9 palette but it’s still a lot bigger than I’d prefer

Blow a hair dryer on the other side of the pallet where the eyeshadows are and it'll melt the glue. They should pop out using something like tweezers to prize them out.

Morphe does a nude/brown 5 colour palette called Malibu.
Charlotte Tilbury has some lovely 4 colour palettes.

I have urban decay naked basic for travel and if I want a splash more colour I take individual eye shadows I have or the cream sticks

There's a really small pat mcgrath one that's lovely for travel

How about something like a Natasha Denona palette. I got one recently and it has blush, highlighter and 5 shadows and this would be perfect for travel.

For travel I use a Tarte palette with a mix of transition, highlight and a pop of shimmer if needed. This way I can do day or night looks.

Ooh yes or their mini just eye shadow ones are stunning too

The Mac custom palettes have the pans held on by magnets. There's a gap behind on one edge if your press down, they will lift

The Dior one looks lovely.

Usually get the Clinique duo pots for travel, but the colour range isn't great.

I use Tarte as well but it just doesn't have the same staying power and density as the Dior.

Nyx do some nice compact travel friendly palettes. I love this one.

I'm assuming you bought yours as a ready made palette whereas mine was put together with individual shadow pans so they go in and out. They're magnetic.

I would look at the urban decay or too faced palettes.

That’s exactly it, the custom palettes click out but the ones I have are pre-filled. I think I’m going to get the Dior one

The Urban Decay one looks cooler than you would want, I believe.

The Dior one looks on the cool side I think too
