What to wear to a farm/barn wedding?

Hi! I am going to a wedding in the summer that is at the hosts family farm, they will be clearing out a cow shed for the festivities and there will be a ceilidh ect - what would you wear?

A vintage dress that I wouldn't mind getting mucked up, and a pair of sturdy boots.

Same thing I'd wear to a normal summer wedding tbh, and I always take flats for the evening anyway.

Something bright fabulous and floral. Farm Rio have some really beautiful dresses that can provide some inspiration if too pricey. Warehouse also have some really beautiful printed dresses at the moment.

If the bride is going to be wearing a traditional white dress, I'd match and wear what I would normally wear to a wedding - not less formal just for the setting.

If there's a Ceilidh I'm guessing Scotland, so I wouldn't wear heels as it may be muddy or wet?

Maybe some really lovely knee boots with a short dress?

I'd wear the same I'd wear to a summer wedding at any other venue! Unless you'll need to wade through cow pats and mud to get to the toilets- why would you wear anything different because its in a barn???

If you are dancing/swinging about- I'd wear something comfortable enough to move around in, and not show your nickers if your skirt flies up.

Dungarees, checked shirt and a pair of wellies.

Not high heels and take a warm cardigan or coat

Where is the ceremony, and what will the bride be wearing ? I'd take my lead from that.
I've been to a couple of Receptions on farms / campsites but both of the weddings were Church weddings and we then were invited to all get changed for the Reception.

I am going to a barn wedding this summer.

I have bought a Ghost ‘Grace’ midi dress. I think it’s informal looking enough for this type of do. It’s also very flattering indeed.

Wedge shoes or something with a block heel. Layers.
