Hair colouring and swimming pools

Tips wanted on how to protect highlighted hair in swimming pools, swim cap technique etc and the minimum safe time to wait began a colouring service and swimming. Thanks!

(Long balayage hair, I have the TYR swim cap that copes with a bun)

Wet hair with clean water before entering the pool, the put on a silicone hat, then goggles then another hat, wash hair with conditioner after swimming.

Philip Kingsley make a cream called Swim Cap (or something like that)that protects coloured hair from chlorine.
