Hoping they will be a good alternative to these from Sezane

Are these jeans as good as they look

I picked them up and put them straight back, there was just too much fabric and Christ they were long for regular length.

The Sezane ones look really nice, I’d buy them.

PalmtreesAndChampagne · 10/04/2023 13:24

No they made my thighs look chunky and were so stiff around the waist and I normally like a high waist but I suppose if you're tall straight boyish body with long torso it could work. I'm short hourglass.

QuietlyLurkingintheCorner · 10/04/2023 13:40

I like them. Comfortable & good weight denim for the price. They are long though - I'm 5'4 and the petite length is just below my ankles. Have worn with tucked in tees & cropped jumper, and trainers but will wear with flat sandals when the weather warms up.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 10/04/2023 13:44

The Sezane ones are better.

Also every time I look at a pair of M&S jeans and think "These are not bad", I pick them up, turn them around to look at the back, and think "Nope". I don't know how they make the backside of their jeans look so woeful but they do it every time.

kegofcoffee · 10/04/2023 13:50

Yes!

I've been wearing them all weekend, very flattering and comfortable.

And a decent high waist that covers my mum tum nicely while not being so high I feel like Simon cowell.

toastfiend · 10/04/2023 13:50

I tried a pair on the other day. Opposite problem to everyone else, though - found them hideously short, they were flapping around somewhere above my ankles and I'm only 5'6 (this was the regular length). I wouldn't say they're wildly flattering if you're more pear shaped (like me). I carry weight on my hips and thighs and they certainly didn't make me look elegant, just square and like I'd suddenly grown 3 inches and been taken by surprise.

kegofcoffee · 10/04/2023 13:52

I should add I'm 5ft and a size 8-10 pear shape, so chunky thighs but a small waist.

I brought them in the short length size 8.

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 10/04/2023 13:56

I got these ones... they're fabulous! And I've had loads of compliments.

SBAM · 10/04/2023 13:58

I hope they’re not frumpy because I wear mine quite a bit!
Opposite problem to others though, I bought the long ones and they’re not that long. I’m 5’7 but short torso/long legs - I bought the long and they’re only just sitting on my trainers.

PrincessofWellies · 10/04/2023 13:59

I have 6 pairs, they fit me really well, wash well and keep their shape between wears.

ComeBackPeterComeBackPaul · 10/04/2023 14:14

Thanks all - quite mixed reviews! I am 5’9” and a size 14 so will be interested to see how they look. I will also look at the Autograph ones ….
I have never bought from Sezane but think I am worried they won’t be very forgiving of my fat, wobbly tum.

You could try Boden for high waist wide leg jeans. I have some from there and they are made of good thick denim.

LilyRose88 · 10/04/2023 16:40

I ordered the M&S ones and a flared but slightly wide leg pair from Hush. I kept the M&S ones as the Hush ones were really unflattering on my tummy area and ridiculously long, although they were a lovely shape on the legs! I do like the M&S ones as they are flattering on my tummy and my legs, and a really good price. I am 5ft 6 and I bought them in regular length. There is a cropped version of the M&S ones and I found them hideously unflattering when I tried them on instore.

Sausagerolex · 10/04/2023 19:22

I hate all M&S jeans yet I always end up trying the next new style everyone raves about.

I find them frumpy and they look cheap. Too stiff and always just off the mark fashion wise.

WhiteCatmas · 10/04/2023 19:32

I’m also 5’9 and a size 14. I really like them.
I didn’t find them short, but I have a long body rather than long legs. The regular fit me perfectly. I have them in 2 colours.
