Aldi/Lacura illuminate moisturiser

I bought a pot on a whim last week. I am so impressed- my skin was dull and a bit dry, but daily use has already had a huge impact! It’s much brighter and feels more supple now. And it smells lovely/works brilliantly under normal make up.

(I don’t work for Aldi to be clear 😂)

I think I’ve seen it mentioned on here before but wanted to share how gobsmacked I am that it is so good. Best £8 I’ve spent on myself in ages.

Is it this one? I can’t see another illumination one on the website.
I could do with something brightening so will pop in and get some to try.
I used to use one of Aldi’s moisturisers a few years ago & it was great, I can’t remember why I moved onto something else now.

I used to use an expensive moisturiser from John Lewis but I was skint one weeks so picked up Lacura skin caviar..... not looked back. Beats expensive brands.

@LastWill Yes that’s the one. Good old Aldini.

Best moisturiser ever! I use this and the night cream one too (dark blue pot).
I get compliments on my surprisingly wrinkle free skin and it is has to be down to this. I horrify my 20 something daughter by using whatever soap is in the bathroom to washy face and don't use retinol, acids or whatever other clutter she tries to get me to us. I honestly can't be bothered !

Augustone · 10/04/2023 15:37

Wash, not washy!🙄

userxx · 10/04/2023 15:53

@Augustone What is the night one like ? Might treat myself.

Pr0fessionalLurker · 10/04/2023 16:07

I always used Clinique Moisture Surge but switched to Aldi a few months ago and haven't looked back.

WoofWoofBeachLife · 10/04/2023 16:22

I've often wondered what this is like thanks for the post. I've got sensitive skin and eyes, at that price it's so worth a chance x

bellinisurge · 10/04/2023 16:39

Will give it a try. Have to stop using Olay because they now sponsor that Mulvaney knobber.

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 10/04/2023 16:45

Is it fragranced?

userxx · 10/04/2023 16:49

Is it fragranced?

Yes, it is slightly

Augustone · 10/04/2023 20:28

The night one isn't heavy or greasy at all which surprised me-i thought night creams were like that.
In the morning my skin feels plumped up and so soft. I know I sound like an advert but it is genuinely brilliant stuff

Ooh yes I use that, it's lovely! I've always struggled to find moisturizer that doesn't turn me into an oil slick. I have the night cream too but I can never be bothered to do it before bed. Turning 40 this year though so maybe I need to start making the effort!

Do it, also an eye cream, I'm 47 and my crows feet have kicked in.

We don't have an Aldi near us and it's a pita to get to the nearest (2 busses). It's a shame they don't do mail order as I'd probably like to try this - cost of living and wotnot/need to cut costs somewhere.

LastWill · 22/06/2023 23:22

@3LittleAcorns
They do online ordering. Thy only have the night cream at the moment though, I’ve bought a toner online before because I could never get it in store. You just have to keep checking for availability of the things you want.
