Trainers to wear with wide legged trousers

I bought navy wide legged trousers for work but none of my current trainers seem to look right with them. Help!!

Hi OP, I wear these with my wide legged trousers. I love chunky trainers but find that too chunky with wide legged trousers makes me look bottom heavy.

I usually wear my converse flatform high tops with wide leg trousers.

or chunky New Balance trainers. You need a platform trainer for them to look good.

I mainly wear Vans which I think work well with wide leg trousers. Adidas Hamburg too.
I’ve got quite a lot of trainers and the only ones that don’t look right with wide legs are the more running style trainers, so New Balance 420 and Nike internationalist.

I'm looking for something similar but for the school run. I dont find flatforms that easy to run around easily in. Any tips?
