What would you do if you were me?

My eyebrows are thinning since I became peri menopausal.
I've had them dyed and henna-Ed but because I've not got that much hair it doesn't last. I'm fed up of pencilling them in every morning.
Any advice or information would be great.

What would you do if you were me?

Castor oil every night before bed. You have to persist for a while but it does work.

Suzi888 · 08/04/2023 22:00

Well I think they look nice.

What look are you aspiring to? Can you post what your ideal is?

AnonymousArabella · 08/04/2023 22:06

You could have them micro bladed. It’s like a tattoo where they make the individual hair strokes. It lasts around 12 months.

I have reasonable brows but with a few patches from over plucking when thin was in and microblading has filled them in beautifully. I never need to use pencil anymore.

FinallyHere · 09/04/2023 09:26

Absolutely, micro blading.

Completely transformational.

I know my micro bladed brows are perfect because my usually very, very critical DM took one look at mine and insisted on having hers done, too, immediately.

With no question, the highest compliment there is.

Find the right person, though. Take a look at their work, make sure they listen to what you want. I didn't want very heavy slugs and am perfectly delighted with my brows. They needed retouching a month after being first done, then topped up ever 2-3 years.

DM me if recommendation in central London or Windsor would work for you.

LadyEloise1 · 09/04/2023 09:35

I think they look lovely. No need to change anything imho.

I hate the "slug" look though that is so popular.

Bienemajas · 09/04/2023 09:37

Your brows look lovely!

What look are you aiming for?

Bienemajas · 09/04/2023 09:37

What's a slug look?

LadyKenya · 09/04/2023 09:38

I would just leave them alone. As long as they are looking neat enough, what more do you want? The tip about castor oil by a pp, is a good one.

EmmaEmerald · 09/04/2023 09:38

Nothing, they look nice.

CuriousMama · 09/04/2023 09:41

They look fine to me.

I've been considering microblading too.

Do you drink castor oil or rub it in?

Do it. Really. I was so on the fence about it but I can’t believe how transformative it is. Very subtle but I have perfect brows all the time now and that makes such a difference to looking put together.

Brush it on/rub it in. Drinking it will induce diarrhoea

Thanks I did wonder 🤔😂 as used to be recommended to bring on the baby.

In terms of tinting them, using Just for Men beard dye has been a revelation! Eyelure and the like wouldn't take on my stubborn grey eyebrow hair and they'd be back to grey in about three days.
JFM lasts for a good couple of weeks. So thanks to whoever it was on MN who suggested it on another thread. £8 a pack and will last me months!
