Considering getting hair extensions for my wedding - is it over the top?

My hair is just above shoulder length and for the most part I just wear it straightened, sometimes I’ll do a loose wave but not very much, and I’m just at a bit of a loss how to have it for my wedding.

It used to be really long, then after lockdown I cut it to just past my collarbones, now it’s at its current length. My issue is that I can’t really do anything with it, if I try to put it in an updo the short straggly bits at the back of my neck hang down. I wear it down every day and I wanted it to look special for my wedding. In an ideal world I wanted to have it in sort of Hollywood waves, just quite simple, but it’s not long enough to style like that.

Ive been looking at Beautyworks extensions but they’re £200+ just for a set of clip in 18” extensions. I probably wouldn’t use them again but I’m really worried that I just don’t have anything I can do with my hair, without the extensions.

Does anyone have any advice? Would you splurge on the extensions just for one day? Or should I just make do with having my hair like I always do?
