Haircut tomorrow - what's better than a bob?

Had a bob for years. Very thin, fine hair. I've got a round face which is rounder currently with pregnancy weight.
What should I do?! So bored of the same haircut year in year out!

Pixie cut

Ask the hairdresser. They can see what will suit your face. Avoid the bob. Unless you are growing it out. Maybe a pixie cut?

Lardolader · 07/04/2023 15:57

I don't think I can do a pixie cut... Not sure it goes with my very straight, very round face. Not brave enough!

Don't go pixie it's hard to maintain. I'd grow it out unless baby is due imminently then um..choppy bob?!

Lardolader · 07/04/2023 16:02

@thegrain this is my fear! Too hard to maintain

I think you have to have fine features for a pixie style much as I would like it myself.
I try to vary my bob - fringe, no fringe, a few layers or completely flat.

HappyMe6 · 07/04/2023 16:24

I’d of thought pixie but if hard to maintain then it’s a no, I got a Bob love mine but I have various bobs. My favourite hairstyles, so many dif ways of having them

maddy68 · 07/04/2023 16:28

Layers then and shape around the face maybe with the view to growing it longer Ask your hairdresser

MrsOrange · 07/04/2023 16:46

A shag
Think old school Meg Ryan, more flattering than a pixie, less precision than a bob. Get it longer at the back, then volume on top

@MrsOrange ooh I like that actually. I've got very straight hair that holds no texture, but I actually did used to have hair a little like that. Wonder if it's been long enough to go back!

I've yo-yo between pixie and bob for years. I settled on a slightly longer version of this and it works for my straight fine hair. Shower blast dry for 3 minutes upside down, salt spray or some clay and done.
