If your legs are short/long, does the same apply to your arms?

Legs I know what constitutes short but not so sure on arms.

I tend to find sleeves too long and my legs are short so maybe my arms are too?

Yes. Short arms and legs but rtw tops are rarely long enough for me. I take after my dad in the limb department.

I've never considered myself to have either extra long or short arms or legs, but I do find majority of jackets are too short at the wrist. Like I have orangutan arms! The arm width is supposed to be the same as our overall height. I'm 168cm (5' 6) with an hour glass shape- so not super thin and long, nor short.

Sorry- to clarify, not arm width, but the distance from finger tip to finger tip with arms stretched out either side of the body, is supposed to be the same length as your height.

Yes. Long arms and long legs here but a relatively short body -ALL trousers are high rise on me! I’m currently heavily pregnant with twins and people predicted l wouldn’t be able to get behind the wheel. Not a problem with my limbs, problem has been my massively swollen feet, ankles and legs stopping me from driving

I have long legs. My arms are long too. However, my body is short. So when I’m sat down, everyone thinks I’m short/average height. When I stand up, I’m tall. Everyone is shocked at my height, they don’t expect it.

Long legs and torso but average arms. Standard trousers are too short and only tall or XL fit. Standard sleeves are generally ok or slightly short but standard torso length is more often too short.

if you measure your height it is the same length as when you hold your arms out n measure fingertip-to fingertip. dunno that answers question.or if thats an actual fact(?)but somewhere in there suggests some sorta prupotionate.which i cant spell obviously

Long legs, long arms. Legs is ok, I can buy long length jeans etc, but arms is so bloody annoying. I always have two inches of cold forearm. 😡

Heh, dunno, but my very short friend thinks she has unnaturally long arms, honestly, she’s genuinely self-conscious about them when they look perfectly normal to me.

My legs are kind of average overall - longer than average thighs, shorter lower legs. But my arms are very long! I always remember my mum saying she thought she was never coming to the end of the sleeves when she knitted me jumpers/cardigans. At least she measured - when I'm knitting sleeves, I finish when I get bored🤣

Trousers are always ankle length and sleeves finish mid-forearm!
When pregnant I looked ridiculous as there was nowhere for the babies to go so they just stuck straight out in front!

Nope… I have a short torso and longish legs (for someone who is 5ft tall. Seriously - nobody would notice.) I also have disproportionately short arms. (Deformed clavicles.) This means that if I am sitting on the floor, I can’t put my hands flat beside me. (My excuse not to do yoga, and my teenagers send me every T-Rex meme they can find.)

🤣🤣 You need a thick skin with teenagers!! Sounds like you have a lovely relationship with them.

Another gorilla type here. Bizarrely long arms (and torso and neck), and then diddly stumpy little legs. 3/4 length trousers in my size come to my ankles. My upper legs seem proportional, and then it’s like whoever designed me ran out of flesh below the knee and just had to slap some feet on halfway down my calves.

I have very long legs, they are much longer than my 6'4 DH, and my arms are really long too. It's a pain as I have to buy tall range in nearly everything.

Yes, mine are both on the long side. I'm tall overall though, so it makes sense. My hands are also quite long and spindly which my limbs are also. Torso less so but hey ho

I’m like a dodgy cut and shut car. My top half and bottom half do not belong together. My legs are short and I’d say that my arms are slightly long.

@Tessisme Thanks - Yes, our entire relationship is based on affectionate ribbing. (I’m biased of course, but they’re pretty fabulous humans and DH isn’t too bad either. I expect I will be hurled straight out of MN for saying that now.)
