Paula's Choice 2% bha breaking me out

Has anyone else experience breakouts with this? Started using it last week and now have quite a few spots, googling tells me purging is normal with this but I'm wondering how long it may take?

How often are you using it? Acids really should be introduced gradually, once or twice a week at first to start, slowly building up over several weeks to more regular use. Most people don't need to use it daily, usually every other day or less than that.

I got horrendous whitehead breakouts with this, even starting slowly. I tried two different times and had the same response so I've not used it since!

@botemp I've started slow, I've used acids on and off for a while and never broken out so it is a bit of a surprise.

I can slow it down more but I don't want to prolong it. Plus if other people find they breakout for weeks/months on end I might just stop.

I'd keep going - purging is a good thing. It happened to me when I started a retinoid but after a couple of weeks my skin was much clearer
