Crystal hair removers - any good?

Does anyone use of the crystal hair removers? I keep seeing them advertised everywhere. I hate shaving. I have a home laser thingy but I'm not great at remembering to use it, and even when I do use it to schedule I still have to shave occasionally. Would love it if the crystal things really work...
I'm also wondering how long they last before you have to replace them?

No, they are useless!
I bought one and only used it a couple of times. It takes ages to do a small patch and if you use it on delicate skin like under arm you'll burn the skin. It also lasts only as long as shaving so it's a massive faff for little reward.

I tried one and it really irritated the skin on my legs. Not sure if I rubbed too hard, but I felt like I needed to for it to remove the hair.
Interested to see if anyone else did any better with one, though

How sad - I thought as much. It's always sus when the adverts seem to show slightly blurred skin after the rubbing. Photoshop has a lot to answer for. I don't know how they get away with it, I'd have thought advertising standards would stop it. Oh well.
