People who like high rise

Do you wear tops untucked or loose?
Unless you have a long torso, a lot of high rise stuff, especially at the more high end, goes almost up to the boobs. Or the pants sag down and you get a long, er, gusset.
I have an average shape with an average torso length, and if i tuck into very high rise trousers or jeans i feel cut off in a weird way.
It creates the illusion of longer legs, but the upper body feels off.

I am trying to find mid rise everywhere and no luck apart from youth aimed brands. I just want a regular waist on my trousers and jeans.

if you wear high rise, do you not show the waist? I am looking at a pair of Poetry cords and the rise os 12"! I sometimes wonder if they won't be happy until they're up to our necks.

I tuck in (usually a French tuck, but sometimes full, depending on what look I’m going for) or wear short jumpers, so they sort of graze the waistband.

I am quite tall (5’8”) and have a long torso, though. So, that probably helps. I love high rise trousers. 😊

And if I wear a longer top what is the point of it

I do wear slightly higher rise (belly button) and pair with a cropped wide top/jumper but it has to be just right in length , and the has to be really quite wide/short to look right

Over, otherwise the waist comes up to my bra. I have long legs and a short torso with very large boobs. My DH though likes the boobs with legs look.

Always tuck but I'm tall and have a crazily long body, I have yet to find a high rise anything that actually reaches my waist.

Short body, and i like high rise because it smooths over any bumps. I never tuck into trousers because i just look ridiculous. (My only tuck is a vest into a skirt in summer.)

DD - 20 something - wears lots of high rise but with a crop top or tuck a shirt in.

I like high rise because you can tuck tops in- they are often cut too short to stay tucked in mid rise, and I really hate having gaps that leave skin exposed- it makes you so cold.

I am 5'3 and suffer the waist up to the boobs problem too. And the boobs are on the generous side which only makes the problem worse. But my bigger bum and smaller waist means low rise are not much good either. So I kind of have to go with mid rise as a compromise and tuck. Or just wear leggings and then the top can hang loose. It's not ideal, but I guess we have to work with the bodies we have.

My DH does too, he's quite happy looking at me in leggings and a tight top that shows everything even though I'm 53. I'd just prefer not to go out in public like that as I get older.

I have a long body so they sit on my waist. I either full tuck, French tuck, or wear loose sweatshirts over the top. All my jeans are high rise though as I get a sort of builders bum in normal ones.

I wear them with cropped tops.
