White trainers for wide feet

If you were going to recommend white trainers to go with a floral midi dress to an overweight late 40s woman with wide feet and almost no sense of style at all, what would you recommend?
(I appreciate this is a look which is probably everywhere - I'm just trying to look as normal as I can - being size 24 is not something I'm comfortable with and is caused by overeating after various close family members dying)
my budget is no more than £100. I’ve looked around but am not good at this sort of thing, thank you

Sorry for your losses Flowers
Birkenstocks do trainers and their normal width is pretty wide (as opposed to narrow).
They have plain white ones which are quite nice.
Awaiting other replies with interest...

PS Also, Evans does wide fit shoes - here are their white trainers:

I have a pair of Reeboks and they're wide enough for me and my wife feet, but they're awfully grubby,. TBH I wish I had bought a darker pair.

If you have very wide feet Skechers are wide enough for me with thick socks.

FitFlop Rally trainers are so comfy on my wide, arthritis damaged feet. I have them in all colours.

Would these be any good or would I look like my gran? (If you see what I mean - my gran was firmly a scholls sandals lady)

No no no OP! 😃 You want something much cooler than that! New Balance 327 are great for wide feet https://www.newbalance.co.uk/pd/327/WS327KB-B-055.html?cqsrc=googleeads&cqcmp=16737608117&cqqcon=&cqterm=&cqqmed=pla&cqplac=&cqqnet=x&cqpos=&cqqplt=gp&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2v-gBhC1ARIsAOQdKY2T7WAJZGkKzIfvFfWbVm81AgIhNvt8P0LyBgBdp4bTEHiDNwFsS0aAqsQEALwwwcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I find Adidas Stan Smith's quite wide fitting!

DorisJoy · 26/03/2023 19:56

Another vote for fit flop rally. I have arthritis and get the ones with the Velcro straps. Easy to adjust for swollen joints.

BeretRaspberry · 26/03/2023 20:10

I have wide feet and manage fine with Adidas Gazelles

FitFlop Rally trainers are so comfy on my wide, arthritis damaged feet. I have them in all colours.

This. They come in leather and canvas in assorted colours and are the most comfortable thing you will ever wear.

Starchipenterprise · 26/03/2023 20:58

Hoka's are recommended for people with wide feet. They are a bit more expensive than your budget, but plenty in white. I am a fan with several pairs. Good luck.

lalaandpo · 26/03/2023 21:00

I have very wide feet. I bought a pair from Next last year. They do have a star pattern on the side but they've worked for me.

They're in the 'normal' width trainer section, but in the size drop down you can select 'W'.
Hope that helps Smile

CMOTDibbler · 26/03/2023 21:03

I also got the wide fit Next ones with the sparkly star in wide, and they look cute with a dress. Due to my arthritic feet, I did order the Hotter ones as the footbed comes out so I could put my orthotics in, but the wide isn't very wide so am currently sending them back for an ExW. 20% off on Hotters website btw

Slimjimtobe · 26/03/2023 21:06

I recently bought white trainers (decent wide fit) from Jana

be kind to yourself - sorry for what you have been through 💐

clementinejuiceforxmas · 26/03/2023 21:12

Stan smiths

anon37484291918 · 26/03/2023 21:15

Adidas superstars are wide fit shoes, all the other styles are narrow.

frostyfeb · 26/03/2023 21:22

I am similar, 40s overweight and I have some adidas Stan smiths I love them

windmill26 · 26/03/2023 21:23

Superga

BeeBB · 26/03/2023 21:30

Fitflop had some new ones advertised today. If you sign up to emails you usually get something like 20% off.

Neverthecornflakegirl · 26/03/2023 21:35

@TokyoSushi made me LOL - I almost bought the MandS ones earlier but I hovered....the ones you linked to are very chunky but maybe that's what I should be getting

thank you all for all of your suggestions - I’ll look at them all

As I say I have zero style sense so I sort of hope for the best and mostly end up looking like a bag lady. With 90s eyebrows. And peri menopausal rage.

Another FitFlop Rally recommendation. The Velcro ones are great

TokyoSushi · 26/03/2023 21:40

Ha! @Neverthecornflakegirl

I dare you just to give them a little try on next time you're out! They're honestly the most comfortable trainers going and great for wide feet, you'll look fabulous!

Endofmytetherfinally · 26/03/2023 21:49

Stan smiths. Way more forgiving then Nike.
