Where can I find a nice dress for a wedding ?

Hello wise people of style and beauty... as the title suggests I'm after something to wear to a wedding. I've looked in H&M, primark, New Look and M&S - which is my budget really. I don't want to buy anything too formal which I couldn't wear again. But I'm really struggling. Everything has cut out bits, seems very cheap material or looks like a big nightie!

I used to enjoy shopping but these days I feel lost as where to look. I'm early 40's size 10 / 12 and hate my stomach area.

I don't know where to look online I feel a bit lost. Any advice or recommendations would be very welcome.

I'd like something .... not too floaty, don't want the back all open so I can't wear a bra. Probably midi length? Colour wise I like blues but open to anything. (Not white though obviously).
Maybe I should look at jumpsuits too ?

Since the demise of Top Shop I don’t think Zara can be beaten for fashionable budget clothes - though it takes a bit of patience as they’re not all equally well made.

I realise that this is just outside of your budget but it's a gorgeous dress. Even with the V at the back of the dress, it's high enough to allow you to wear a bra with it.

I went into & Other Stories yesterday - it looks like a slightly posher version of H&M and it had a lot of dresses that looked as if they would be lovely for weddings.
