I have funds to spend on a nice perfume. Would be mainly worn during the day. Nothing heavy or over powering; just want to smell lovely.

There are lots of different editions of La Vie est Belle - and it does last well.

I love Joy by Dior too, that's my default day perfume.

What have you loved before

Used to wear Chanel no 5 and Estee Lauder Beautiful. I liked the smell but no one ever complimented me on them so no idea if they worked for me.

If you liked the smell they worked for you!
Receiving compliments isn't the 'test' of a perfume. (And some would say if you're wearing enough for other people to compliment you then you're wearing too much😉)

Hermes TWIlly range. My favourite is the eau de poivre which has peppery vibes.

If you liked n5 and Beautiful you have a "classic" taste and you're looking for aldehydes and/or white flowers.

I think Twilly is a good call based on what you already like. Estée Lauder Knowing might be worth a sniff.
If you've got lots of money to spend, you'd like Chanel Exclusifs 31 Rue Cambon as well. Staying on street themed but less spendy- Hermes Rue Faubourg.

What sort of fragrance do you like? Liberty often do good sample packages, there are ones I’ve sniffed and not liked, but when I’ve worn them throughout the day they’ve been my favourite. It’s hard to tell from a quick spritz in a shop. The Vilhelm perfumes are lovely and last on your skin, so many fragrances to choose from.
