What can you do to be able to smell perfume on you?

Instead of just others smelling it on you?

Not sure it’s true or some urban myth but apparently if you can smell it on yourself you’ve got too much on!

I was always told that if you could smell it on yourself you were wearing too much.

I think you just get nose blind. I rotate fragrances so the smell is always different so you notice you're wearing it more. I'm fairly sure I'm not wearing too much.

Yep - nose blind. After a while, that’s just what the world smells like (in the same say smokers often can’t really tell they smell of smoke).

I ran out of my normal perfume 2 weeks ago - but just when I’d got lots of appointments on my day off that week and the dcs had stuff going on all weekend so I wasn’t going to be able to get to a big Boots /department store to pick up another bottle. My brother had given me a perfume gift set at Christmas that was for a different perfume (think he was trying for mine and just got mixed up as the packaging is similar). I did a quick spray and realised I like it and can smell it. All last week I could smell it really strongly, but this week not really. So guess I’m getting used to that smell and it’s now what the world smells like.

I have three perfumes that I rotate so I smell different every day and don't get used to it.

Can’t smell my perfume at all. Someone said that I had a ‘distinctive smell’ and it took me a moment to realise they were talking about my perfume and not BO or bad breath. 😅
