Bag, shoes, jewellery... it's the Ghost Meryl if anyone is interested. I cut the shoulder pads out as I have quite share shoulders already and it looks better like this on me.

I think I'd go quite minimal with this as the dress is the statement.

Maybe very pale gold strappy heels and a gold necklace with some nice earrings

Unless your style is a bit more boho then I'd consider a red chunky gem type necklace and bangle

Navy shoes and bag.

Navy shoes and bag.

My mother in law recently gave me a navy handbag that's she doesn't use, that's way more expensive than I could ever afford, so this could be a good option. Will try them together.

I always wear gold jewellery, gold sandals is a good idea. Do you think like a delicate pendant and small earrings? Or maybe no necklace and big earrings? I did try a beige/nude coloured handbag with it and it looked nice.

@HiddenGiraffes what kind of earrings are you thinking? I think if a big statement earring definitely no necklace

I honestly don't know! I dress up so rarely (SAHM for the last 4 years, a bit of freelance work in the evenings but all from home) that I feel clueless.

Do you think I can get away with a heel this low, or do you think I'm better going a bit higher to make my posture right for a formal dress?

I've got an almost 4 year old and a 1 year old, so I'll inevitably be doing a lot of carrying and running about.

How about something like this for earrings? Look what I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/206140506/circle-hammered-dangle-handmade?ref=sharev44_lx

Those shoes will look fine I think! There's no point going super formal to the point of impractical. How long is the dress?

Ooh I like those, and then no necklace do you think?

It's midi length, prob hits me a tiny bit lower than on the models but I'm 5'7 so not loads lower. Ghost website

Beautiful dress. Gold will be perfect with it.

GoodChat · 21/03/2023 10:06

Yeah I think no necklace with those. You'll look ace!

mother69 · 21/03/2023 10:07

That dress is beautiful so I would just leave it alone without any accessories.
